Bret has composed and arranged numerous compositions in many styles for a variety of ensembles. Workshop topics include The Compositional Process, Writing for the Big Band, Creative Arranging, Generating Source Material & more. Bret Zvacek has written numerous commissioned compositions and arrangements. Clients include U.S. Military Bands, Leading College and University Jazz Ensembles, and High School groups. Compositions are written to meet the client's needs, with communication and consultation as an essential element.INTERACTIVE COMMISSION PROJECTS
Bret Zvacek can visit your school/ensemble, and using Sibelius notation software interact with band members in real time, gathering their musical ideas, organizing them, and notating them with the musicians present. A full length composition, fully edited and formatted (including score & parts) can serve as the culmination of this experience.
